If your confirmation email says that you need to fill in Advanced Passenger Details (API) before sailing and you're getting an error online, please try these suggestions:
- Use the ferry company reference number, not the Openferry reference
- Enter the lead passenger's surname exactly as it appears in your confirmation email
- If the surname contains special characters or accents (e.g. ó, ü, ç, é), try entering it using standard characters only
If you've tried all of the above and are still having trouble, don't worry — you can provide these details at the port during check-in at no extra charge. You'll also be able to update any passport details at the port if they have changed since you completed the API.
